Lamenters 5th Company is my project for a post-Badab War rebuilding company of the ill-fated Lamenters Space Marine Chapter. Part of the Cursed 23rd founding, the Lamenters fell into challenges with throwing their lot in with the wrong side during the Badab War. Duped by the Astral Claws, the Lamenters fought against loyal troops for years, especially doing much damage with ship raiding missions and fleet based operations. This Blood Angels sub-sect were beaten into submission by the brutal Minotaurs and surrendered.
The Lamenters pettitioned to the Emperor for forgiveness and were granted such with the pennance of a 100-year long crusade against the Tyranids and Hive Fleet Behemoth. The Lamenters were decimated after their war with the Tyranids, leaving them with just 3 companies worth of man power left.
My story takes place with the Lamenters rebuilding, starting with a young and newly appointed Captain to the 5th company. There will be a large number of scouts used, as the Lamenters just don't have enough troops to fill out ten full companies. I will also include some elements of the 1st company in the form of Vanguard Veterans as well as Terminators.
